Earlier this year we launched a new web-based application that allows customers to generate time-sensitive access codes for our KitLock 1000 push-button locks. Customers can register their keypad locks on the NetCode portal and control access to lockers, or equipment locked inside cabinets or enclosures from a remote location.
The digital locks are activated on the NetCode portal before they are installed at a remote site. The portal then enables you to create NetCodes from any browser-capable, internet-enabled device. To help set up and start using the service, we’ve created three new video guides. Each tutorial contains detailed step-by-step instructions on how to activate and manage your NetCode account.
Video one – Introduction to NetCode
In this video we show you how to create your account, register your keyless locks and start generating NetCodes. The video shows you how to generate access codes that will work for a few hours or between a particular start and end date. It also shows you how to send NetCodes via an email address or an SMS text message.
Video two – Generating short-term NetCodes via SMS
In this video we show you how to set up and manage a ‘whitelist’ of authorised mobile phone numbers. This application allows any mobile on the list to request a short-term NetCode via an inbound SMS message. For example, you might manage access for a team of mobile engineers who make several remote site visits in one day. When the engineer arrives onsite, they can request a NetCode using their authorised mobile phone. The NetCode is automatically generated and will only be valid for one hour.
Video three – Customisation
In our third video we show you how easy it is to customise your NetCode account. Learn how to add your company logo, change the background colour and customise your SMS and email notifications.
You can register up to 10 locks on the NetCode portal free of charge. To register more than 10 locks, a small annual service fee will apply – see our website for pricing. You can also purchase an SMS credit pack for £15, this allows you to send up to 100 NetCodes via text message to any mobile phone.
